Invisalign's clear, custom aligners may be a suitable treatment option for 100 Mile House adults and teens who are looking to achieve a straighter smile but don't want the appearance of traditional braces.
What is Invisalign?
Invisalign is an orthodontic treatment involving a series of custom-made clear aligners and is an alternative to metal braces for those who wish to avoid brackets and wires.
What are the key features of Invisalign?
Since Invisalign aligners are made from thin, clear plastic materials, they are often difficult to see for the casual observer. They may even give some patients the appearance of wearing no orthodontic appliance at all.
Invisalign aligners are also removable. This means that brushing and flossing are as easy as ever, and you won't need to give up any of the foods you love to eat. Since clear aligners are made from plastic, they may be more comfortable to wear and cause less irritation to the cheeks than traditional braces.
Our dentists at Valley Dental can help you weigh the benefits of Invisalign vs braces, to determine the right teeth straightening choice for you.

How does Invisalign work?
During your first consultation at Valley Dental, your dentist will help to determine if Invisalign is the right option for you. If you are a candidate for treatment, we will then develop a custom treatment plan and cost estimate for you.
Our dental professionals will take photographs and digital 3D impressions of your teeth and send these along with your treatment plan to have your custom aligner created.
You will be asked to wear each set of clear aligners for about 2 weeks before switching to the next set in your treatment series. Each clear aligner will guide your teeth in small increments until the final prescribed positions of your teeth are reached.
No Metal Wires or Brackets
Since Invisalign doesn't have metal wires or brackets like traditional braces, they are removable and are lower profile than traditional braces treatments. They also allow for brushing and flossing like normal.
There are no dietary restrictions with Invisalign either, meaning you get to eat the foods you love throughout your treatment.
