What Are Dentures?
Dentures are removable dental restorations that can replace one or more missing teeth.
Dentures are custom-made for your smile for a natural-looking appearance and are often more cost-effective and less invasive than other restoration procedures such as dental implants.
Replacing missing teeth can be critical for your long-term oral health. Missing teeth can impact your ability to chew and speak and can have a negative effect on your facial structure.
Partial Dentures
Partial dentures are designed to replace either a single tooth or a few consecutive missing teeth. They are typically made from a combination of acrylic and metal.
Partial dentures have clasps that affix to your natural teeth and hold the dentures in place.
Full Dentures
Your dentist can replace all the teeth in your top jaw, bottom jaw, or both with full dentures. Full dentures are designed to be worn daily and removed only for cleaning and sleeping.
Full dentures are held in place by suction and will sit comfortably over your gums. An additional denture adhesive may be used to help hold the dentures in place.
